Manicures

Well groomed nails are gorgeous as well as functionally sensible. The best looking and healthy nails can be achieved with the help of one of the myriad varieties of manicures available today. You don’t have to shell out too many bucks at a prissy parlor if you know how to give yourself a Do-It-Yourself manicure, right at home! Here’s how you can attain those striking set of nails, all by yourself.

Filing: Use an antiseptic on your nails and remove any old nail paint before you begin. File from side to side into an oval shape.

Buffing: Always buff your fingernails after filing them. Use warm water dips to soften your cuticles before using a cuticle remover.

Nail Paint: The bottle should be rolled between your palms, do not shake it or air bubbles will be created. Apply paint in three even strokes and use a base coat for longer lasting paint. Be sure that you allow at least half an hour for the paint to dry off before doing anything else.

Artificial Nails: These are best applied on buffed nails. Glue them on and press tightly. Clean off any excess glue and file your nails in the normal way before painting them
